The initial idea that was developed in the project was to create a simple but eye-catching natural swimming pool that could be replicated on various scales.
Running along two sides of the swimming area are large slabs of hand-cut Luserna stone.
On one of the other sides is an overhanging area of decking made of thermally modified ash wood slats with LED lights around the outside. On the opposite side is a walkway made of the same material, which separates the swimming area from the biological filter.
In addition to the essential blend of filtering materials, the latter contains Iris Laevigata, Iris Pseudacorus, Equisetum and other wetland plants.
We put some ornamental grasses in a simple flower bed filled with large white pebbles. An array of little trees adorns the backdrop behind the filter area.
The real star of this natural swimming pool is Susanna, a fun steel figure wearing a swimming cap and costume who cannot wait to dive into the clear water.
The little ripples created by the pumps constantly keep the surface of the water moving gently, thus preventing mosquitoes from laying eggs and proliferating.
Taking a dip is an absolute joy thanks to the exceptional water quality all year round.
