The idea behind this breathtaking project is to get people talking and take on the challenge of designing an alternative to the traditional garden with a lawn, a hedge and shrubs.
We created a water-filled space that would fit in a standard-sized garden of a terraced house in the Italian city of Brescia.
The clean-cut pond has refined grey stone outlines that highlight its geometric shape.
The walkway is made of outdoor wood and at one end it opens up into a comfortable decking area with a lounge set on it. It goes through the main water area, which is 70 cm deep.
Alongside the decking is an original array of square box hedge plants.
On one side is the biological filter, the water in which is completely covered with a layer of floating leaves from tiny Lemna oxygenating plants. There are eight grey stone vases in the water, containing four blue-green Agave and four Thalia Dealbata plants.
The Nordic style of this project aimed to appeal to mindful customers with an interest in sophisticated garden designs.
