The Lotus Flower natural pool

Type:
Natural pool
Zone:
Province of Brescia
Year:
2012

The idea was to create a spa cooling pool that conveyed a relaxing, orderly image. This pool has been presented at a number of exhibitions.

The design had to clearly reflect the idea of relaxation, so we opted for clean-cut, neat lines.

The pool is made of galvanized sheet iron, with granite running around the edge and LED lighting below the side.

On the left side of the pool, we placed decking made of exotic ipe wood. It too is illuminated by a small number of LED step lights.

There are steps leading up to the filter system area, which works in reverse: the water is taken from the bathing area below up to the filter area above, where Equisetum and Iris Pseudacorus grow.

A large lotus flower that was made by hand from weathering steel serves as a water feature and creates a pleasant trickling effect with a very appealing sound.

One of the benefits of this natural pool is the modular nature of the structure, which means that it can be transported, assembled and disassembled easily. In addition, the length can be increased by adding extra modules.

The biological filter was entirely designed and built by our company. It provides the scope for backwashing, if necessary.

The energy consumption of the pool is very low thanks to the use of highly efficient pumps fitted with inverters.

Any dust, wisps of straw or leaves that fall into the pool can be cleaned away by the skimmer at the top.

Another undeniable benefit is that our company can offer customers a comprehensive range of design, construction and after-sales services.
